Google I/O 2014 is going to be held on June 25th to 26th in San Francisco. The limelight is going to be the HTC Nexus 8.9 tablet. The detaild specs are 8.9" display at 2048x1440 (281ppi), NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor (Tegra K1), 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, 8MP OIS main camera, 3MP front facing camera, aluminum zero-gap construction, stereo front-facing speakers.

It's been four years since HTC again cooperated with Google. Volantis is the first 64-bit product of HTC and quite obviously meant as a premium device, at least judging by the specs.

However, Taiwan market has been longing for the new HTC Butterfly. Rumors have it that the new high-end phone will come sooner than expected. Specs-wise, it is said to pack a 5.2-inch FHD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

IoT will also be an important direction of HTC. Speaking at the company's annual shareholders' meeting, HTC CEO Peter Chou said “IoT is a crucial direction for us, and we have planned a complete strategic roadmap for this segment since last year,” he added. “We hope that a new product line will appear in the second half of this year and become a key direction for our future.”
