Xiaomi Sells Like Hotcakes, Taiwan Supply Chains Smile

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Xiaomi, once being considered the Chinese version of Apple's iPhone, was sold like hotcakes in the past half years. According to Xiaomi, it is sold 26.11 million units in Q1 and Q2, which increased 271 percent comparing to the same period of time last year. MediaTek, Inventec, Largan Precision Co., Novatek, and Foxlink are part of supply chains of Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi Mi3 and Redmi sold out 26.11 million units, source said that the original goal of Xiaomi's sale was 40 million units, now that has been revised to 60 million units because it will strengthen the cooperation with supply chains as well as to walk out of China market, entering Taiwan, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.

Xiaomi has outshined Samsuang and Apple based on April sales report, China Mobile announced that Xiaomi sold 1.75 million units.

MediaTek, Inventec, Largan Precision Co., Novatek, and Foxlink are supply chains of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, Founder of Xiaomi visited these Taiwanese firms before, with the view to enhance the relationship, ensuring orders are steady and stable.
