Inventec to get Orders from the Sonos' Wireless HiFi Music Systems

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Inventec is penetrating the smart home market, and already got the orders from SONOS, an American wireless HiFi music systems. It is believed that the first shipment will fall on September, and the shipment will be 400 to 800 million units a year couple with the Xiaomi sold out 26.11 million units, making this year a good business year for Inventec.

SONOS once is famous for its bluetooth speakers, they further rolled out the wireless WiFi stereo, which can use App to control each speaker and connect five speakers. Most important of all, there will be no ugly lines between the speakers.

SONOS values the Asia market since 2011, and relied on the Asia supply chain. Source said that the new WiFi stereo's orders go to Inventec's subsidiary company Inventec Appliances, estimated orders 400 to 800 million units a year. It will be manufactured in Putong in August or September. According to SONOS, the price of each WiFi stereo is NT$17 thousand to NT$24 thousand dollars.

He Dai-shui, General Manager of Inventec Appliances, said that smart devices have bright prospect so that they invested more money on it, now succeed to get orders from big company SONOS. The core technogy of Inventec Appliances is Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Internet multimedia.

Last but not least, Inventec Appliances and Foxconn Technology Group got 50 percent of orders from Xiaomi. Xiaomi just annouced its sales report of Q1 and Q2 that sold out 26.11 million units, and Inventec Appliances shipped out 13 million units.
