INX: Simplicity is What Users Want on Mobile Display

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Touch Taiwan 2014 has a series of keynote speeches mostly concerning the display technology. Innolux (INX) AVP of Mobile Product Management and Technology Development Center Pang Jia-pang suggests that simplicity is what users really want on mobile display, which means the simple form factor and nature user experience should be take into first priority account.

Pang Jia-pang points out that there are four future trends fo smart world, especially in moble devices. “Firstly, vivid experience of realistic sensation which can make people feel like being in the real world. Secondly, the hyper connection lifesyle make people's life convenient and easier to connect with each other.”

“Thirdly, the mobile life is perfectly with an easy carrying device, but a bigger screen is essential. Finally, the total solution of multi-function of display.” says Pang Jia-pang.

Pang Jia-pang considers that people desire simplicity and share their enriching experience with each other. “With display technology becoming increasingly mobile, we have to consider what display people really want.”

Pang Jia-pang also illustrates the technology strategy for display. For simple form factor: thin, light, and touch glass technolgy is important, including thin module, bezel less BLU, portrait design, on-cell sensors, 2.25D, 2.5D coverlens, accurate lamination, and ultra narrow bezel, as well as ultra power saving and nature full and healthy color for the nature user experience.

Core technology of display consists of IGZO, NLC, PA for the transmittance front, AAS technology of viewing angle, Touch on Display (TOD), New Thin Glas Technology, and GOP Technology.

Touch Taiwan 2014 is being held from August 27 to 29 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall.
