Wistron: We are not Fall Behind in Terms of the Defect-free Rate

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Wistron held its year-end dinner on February 12, Lin Xian-ming, Chairperson of the company, said that it has already passed by the hardship of 2014. He forecast that the shipment of notebooks will be the same amount that of in 2015, and smart devices will be the growth drivers.

Rumor has it that the defect-free rate of the company is bad, Lin Xian-ming refused it and emphasized that the company isn't fall behind in terms of defect-free rate. Therefore, he gave a positive review on the company's prospect in 2015.

However, Wistron had a slump in sales of the touch panels that resulted in poor performance and revenue for some of its customers, as well as affected the year-round performance.

Nevertheless, echoing the company has become Apple's supply chain in 2015, the Chairperson noted that after one year of struggling, the situation will be better in this year.
