Chunghwa Telecom and HTC Sign MOU of 4G Service Cooperation

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan telecommunications service provider Chunghwa Telecom and HTC on Tuesday signed a 2015 cooperation memorandum, and the two parties will closely collaborate on 4G mobile Internet services.

This is the fifth time that the two parties have signed a cooperation agreement. Chunghwa Telecom and HTC collaborated in 2014 and surpassed the top place for mobile sales performance. In addition to increasing the level of satisfaction with Chunghwa Telecom, they also increased HTC’s brand name recognition in the market. Therefore, the two parties have decided on a cooperation memorandum for 2015 and will continue to intensify their partnership.

This year’s collaboration will include “4G mobile Internet experience,” “differentiated products and services,” “integration pathways,” and “digital convergence development cooperation.”

Chunghwa Telecom CEO Rick Tsai stated: “the two parties this year have signed our fifth cooperation memorandum and will continue making achievements from our 2014 collaboration in high speed mobile Internet. We will endeavor to create fast and convenient mobile lifestyles, and through sharing experience and technology, we will satisfy the demands of a variety of different consumers.”

HTC General Director Cher Wang stated: “We have signed a cooperation memorandum with Chunghwa Telecom for 2015, and we anticipate this win-win collaboration will consolidate both parties’ leading brand positions in the market and bring about the integration of Taiwan with global standards.
