Taiwanese Firms Place High Hopes on Win 10

TAIPEI, Taiwan — According to a reliable source that the latest operating system (OS) from Microsoft, Windows 10 will be launched earlier than expectations, which will surely be all the rage expecially in changing PC. Acer, ASUS, and Quanta, etc, these Taiwanese firms place high hopes on Windows 10.

Allegedly, Microsoft has informed many PC developers that its Windows 10 will be launched on August instead of October, which is not only reduced the royalty, but also upgraded the original OS for free that will make waves of changing PCs in this summer time.

Furthermore, investors suggested that once Windows 10 would be released earlier, all the new PC would be rolled out earlier as well, so PC developers won’t have much time in manufacturing. Therefore, it’s a challenge for PC supply chains.

However, it is widely circulated that Acer, ASUS, and those PC firms have been ready for the earlier launch of Windows 10. In other words, COMPUTEX TAIPEI will be the right timing for all the PC developers to showcase their newest PC models.

Relatively, due to the earlier launch of Windows 10, the peak season of PC’s and NB’s shipment will fall in the second quarter of this year, including Quanta, Compal, Wistron, and Inventec, etc, these Taiwanese ODM firms place high hopes on it.
