The analyst pointed out that the Helio X20 will have exceptional specifications and a total of 10 cores, which will include two Cortex-A53 “4+4” symmetrical cores as its foundation with a dual-core designed Cortex-A722. Furthermore, this type of design will capable of providing better image processing results and shorter processing times. It will also be able to strengthen graphics rendering for real-time video effects applications.

As for operating frequency, the “4+4” symmetrical cores are configured with the Cortex-A53, which can be divided into 2.0GHz or 1.4GHz. At the same time, the Cortex-A72 uses a higher 2.5GHz operating frequency, which has a higher corresponding real-time computing performance. MediaTek uses the term “Tri-Cluster” to describe this new architecture design.

As for the market for applications for the Helio X20 specifications, currently MediaTek has not given a concrete explanation; however, mobile devices or digital in-car systems are two possibilities, and they will be mainly for the Chinese market.
