Foxconn IP Auction Will Be Held by ICAP

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Foxconn Technology Group joined forces with ICAP Patent Brokerage. ICAP will represent Foxconn in an upcoming sealed-bid auction of intellectual property assets on November 19, 2015. The auction will feature 27 distinct portfolios, with detailed lot information featured on the Foxconn Corporate Auction web page.

ICAP Patent Brokerage will be working in conjunction with MiiCs & Partners, which is exclusively authorized to monetize the IP assets of Foxconn Technology Group.

Furthermore, the auction will cover a wide range of technology areas, including mobile devices (and applications) and cameras/lenses, LCD projectors and displays, flash memory, audio/video processing and playback, cable modems, batteries & chargers, health software, navigation, optical systems and connectors, wireless access points, television, VOIP, and more.

Meanwhile, Foxconn is responsible for the manufacture of Blackberry, Apple iPad, Apple iPhone, Amazon Kindle, Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, and the Nintendo Wii U.

According to ICAP, Foxconn is a leader in the intellectual property space, and one of the top 20 patent holders world-wide, with over 64,000 granted patents. Foxconn is a major investor in technology research, with annual R&D spending exceeding USD$50 million.
