Rakuten Mobile is an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) service launched by Fusion Communications Corp. in October 2014 which utilizes NTT DoCoMo’s LTE network. In addition to offering packages bundling a SIM-free device and a low-cost SIM card with voice service, or just SIM cards outright, Rakuten Mobile has expanded its service offering to include data SIM cards and a device lineup.

The Acer Liquid Z330 features a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels, and quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 8909 chipset. There are 1GB of RAM memory and 8GB of built-in storage in the configuration, along with a 2000 mAh capacity battery. A pair of 5MP cameras are to be found on its front and back panel, and connectivity options include Cat4 LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Acer made its entry into the Japanese smartphone market in January this year through a partnership with major bookseller, BOOKOFF Corp. Ltd. To date, Acer smartphones are sold in 60 countries around the world.
