MIC noted that Maibenben's remarkable performance on Tmall, particularly with its Xiaomai 2S, is largely due to its high cost-performance (C/P) ratio, followed by its start-up speed.
Meanwhile, Dell Inspiron 15 (3543) was ranked as the second best-selling notebook PC model on Tmall, with more than 1,600 units sold over the researched period. Aside from its beautiful appearance, Dell has earned its name among Chinese Internet users as a reliable brand with good quality products and after-sale services.
In terms of online visibility, however, data showed that the most mentioned notebook PC brand on China's most influential social network Sina Weibo was Apple, which users classified as "mainstay products with high reviews". While Apple MacBook Air did not make into the top 10 best-selling models, it was ranked the third best-selling PC model and had received more positive reviews than others.
