Inotera and Acer Announce New Leadership

TAIPEI, Taiwan — DRAM chipmaker Inotera Memories Inc. on November 10 said company President Scott Meikle has resigned, in the latest board shuffle after Chairperson Charles Kau left early this month for China’s Tsinghua Unigroup. At the same time, Acer also approved a new leadership of its pan-APAC region.

Inotera’s Board of Directors announced that Lee Pei-ing, currently serving as President of Nanya Technology Co., was elected to be the new Chairperson of the company. The election is effective November 10, 2015.

The Board of Directors also approved the appointment of Rod Morgan as President, succeeding Scott Meikle. The change is effective January 1, 2016.

Rod Morgan is currently Special Assistant of Inotera. Prior to joining Inotera, he was Vice President of Procurement at Micron Technology, Inc. Before that, he served as Co-Executive Officer of IM Flash Technologies, LLC. Morgan joined Micron in 1984 and held numerous leadership roles in manufacturing operations, including Fab Manager, Manufacturing Integration Manager, Key Equipment Group Director, and Site Director.

Nevertheless, Oliver Ahrens, VP at pan-APAC region of Acer, formerly Acer EMEA President, left the company on November 11. Acer approved Jason Chen, to succeed Oliver Ahrens and concurrently as Corporate President and Chief Executive Officer of Acer.
