Sharing is an important idea at present. However, people shared documents through mobile devices or Internet server in the past, which took too much time and inconvenient.

As a matter of fact, a dongle is a small piece of hardware that attaches to a computer, TV, or other electronic device in order to enable additional functions such as copy protection, audio, video, games, data, or other services. These services are available only when the dongle is attached.

Involving a wired connection is optional. Therefore, the dongle may communicate wirelessly with the device it enables via NFC, for instance.

ITRI’s USBSync realizes sharing documents or play videos synchronously to 8 members from one item without connects to the Internet. The technology behind this is wireless transmission.

Now that the USBSync can share documents or play videos synchronously to 8 members from one item, the Hsinchu-based institute plans to double the sharing members to 16 in 2016.
