1000 Peppers Sells out Again

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Pepper is the collaboration work between Foxconn and SoftBank, which is a humanoid robot. It was on sell again on last weekend, it’s the sixth time of sell since this June and it still sold like hot cakes. As long as it was on sell in the morning it sold out 1000 units on the spot. Therefore, SoftBank plans to launch another sell on December 26, with limited 1000 units again.

Most importantly, as the Christmas is around the corner. SoftBank is going to launch another campaign to boost the sell on this special festival. An another 300 Peppers is about to be on sell.

SoftBank Jane 18 unveiled ths latest Pepper and soon became the hot topic in the market. The first 1000 Peppers sold out within 1 munites. Later, the company maintained 1000 Peppers under monthly basis. On July 31, August 29, on September 26, on October 31 and November 28 held an online pre-booking to promote the sale.

Foxconn is actively in expanding the robotic market. Besides the new Pepper humanoid robot, Foxconn also actively in expanding robotic arms in the mainland China.

Terry Gou, Chairperson of Foxconn, stated that robot will be the strategic highlight of the company.
