Acer founder Stan Shih said yesterday that the board is considering the possibility of a new spin-off business, which will be announced by end of March this year.
Furthermore, Acer is actively in developing new business. Acer CEO Jason Chen today said that Acer is developing a new virtual reality (VR) product, which is expected to launch in the first half of this year. And he promised the product will be a eye-catching product.
Acer yesterday announced its January revenue of NT$15.8 billion, MoM decreased 29.7%, YoY decreased 30%, which was the lowest one in the nine months.
