HTC Builds “Asia-Pacific Virtual Reality Industry Alliance”

The “Asia-Pacific Virtual Reality Industry Alliance” was launched by HTC with 13 companies, which are global top-notch leaders including Valve, Warner Brothers, Alibaba, NVIDIA, AMD, Youku, iQIYI, and SUNYES as founding members.

HTC Chairwoman and CEO Cher Wang said, “Through the launch of our Asia-Pacific Virtual Reality Industry Alliance, HTC will unite all of our excellent strategic partners to work together. I believe we will definitely be able to accelerate market development and benefit more people. I am also confident that HTC Vive will provide people with a route to enter into a whole new world. This route truly has unlimited resources and is completely unconstrained. Imagination is vast, and with HTC Vive all of this vastness can be realized.”

Cher Wang also announced the global Vive X Accelerator program, which will primarily promote the development of a virtual reality ecosystem and provide developers and new team ventures with all kinds of resources and professional team guidance. This will assist development teams with strong potential to rapidly develop and occupy a place in the global market.

HTC will allocate over US$100 million in funding for the Vive X Accelerator Program and will combine more collaborative partners to collectively invest in and enable excellent virtual reality products to have the opportunity to directly collaborate with Vive and further expand.
