Innolux’s Automotive Display Products Win HSP Innovation Award

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Innolux announced today that the company won the 2016 Taiwan Hsinchu Science Park (HSP) Innovative Product Award with its S Shape Display (R curvature = 170mm), 1-axis Curve Display (R curvature = 500mm) and Curve with Touch Display (R curvature = 500mm).

According to Innolux, the company uses a special process to curve the LCD panel in different curvature. S Shape Display is the world's first products with R curvature of 170mm to 500mm, and it equipped with Innolux's TID touch technology is another technological breakthrough.
Yang Giu-Lian, Director of Technical Development Department of Innolux, said that Innolux uses a special process to bend the LCD panels into different curvature, and collocates with special materials to bond the various parts of the panel to avoid stripping by the stress. Meanwhile, the curved LCD panel equipped with touch function and included high level of durability and weather resistance, that are the most advanced features in the industry.
Yang said, Innolux’s automotive LCD panels had focused on Europe and the United States market, and was migrating to the Japan market this year. In addition, Innolux forecasted that it will have a greater shipments growth in China due to a short implementation time of Chinese automotive vendors of about one year, compared to up to two years in Europe, the United States and Japan.
