TSMC’s Net Revenues for April 2017 Decreases of 33.8% from March

TAIPEI, Taiwan - TSMC yesterday announced its net revenues for April 2017, were approximately NT$56.87 billion, a decrease of 33.8 percent from March 2017 and a decrease of 14.9 percent from April 2016. However, its revenues for January through April 2017 totaled NT$290.79 billion, an increase of 7.6 percent compared to 2016.

Regardless of the April revenue fell sharply, TSMC still said that it will not change its second quarter revenue forecast.
At its Q1 investor conference in April, TSMC had projected a conservative second quarter outlook, stressed that the sales of second quarter will decline due to drought period of new products of main customers and inventory.
However, TSMC forecasted a strong revenue growth in the second half of this year, and its annual revenue can grow five to ten percent.
