iPhone 8 Mass production Time May Be Postponed

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The mass production time of Apple's new iPhone 8 smart phone may be postponed. According to news from Taiwan's Economic Daily News, due to Apple's strict quality requirements and use of new technologies, the degree of difficulty in manufacturing the devices has significantly increased. Among these new technologies is the technology for the OLED version of the iPhone 8, and they are concerned that they may not be able to be manufacture it until the fourth quarter.

This year there are three different styles of iPhone, namely the 4.7-inch TFT-LCD screen iPhone 7s, the 5.5-inch TFT-LCD screen iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8, which is equipped with OLED.
For assembly plants, July is the usual yearly mass production time for new models of smart phones; however, currently the yields of the two main iPhone manufacturers, Foxconn and Pegatron, are still not up to standard.
The Economic Daily News pointed out that due to the postponement of production, the launch of the TFT-LCD iPhone will be moved back to August, which is a delay of one or two months compared to previous years.
