Moxa and NTU Team Up to Establish Networking Innovation Lab

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Moxa Inc. and National Taiwan University (NTU) today announced that they have teamed up to establish the MOXA-NTU Networking Innovation Lab. The joint collaboration will probe into forward-looking technologies for next-generation networking, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), and research into key issues for the advancement of a wide variety of scenarios for precision communications for industrial use.

Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a crucial technology to grasp in order to put IIoT and Industry 4.0 into practice; however, the synchronization and scheduling of TSN standards is predicated on the efforts and practice of all parties involved.

NTU College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Deputy Dean Dr. Pang, Ai-Chun stated that “this collaboration with Moxa brings new momentum into networking communications research for us. This not only enables students at the NTU College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science to have opportunities to understand development scenarios for industrial networking, but also opens up their visions for future career development.”

Moxa Global Product Group General Manager Zheng Yu-hong explained that “Moxa’s thirty years of experience in global industrial networking enables us to have insight into a wide variety of industry usage scenarios and key issues. Therefore, we anticipate that our collaboration with NTU will promote interdisciplinary communication and talent cultivation, increase the speed of research into key next-generation technologies, and put solutions into practice for a wide variety of different types of industrial networking.”
