The device includes an embedded 12-bit A/D converter and an 8-bit PWM generator, functions which extensively reduce the need for peripheral components, resulting in the added benefits of reduced PCB size and cost. Their precision internal system frequency oscillator further adds to these features making this new device suitable for use in applications such as power bank appliances.

Some of the special characteristics of the HT46R003B can be seen in its industrial quality specification of -40°C~85°C, operating voltage range of 2.3V~5.5V, OTP Program Memory capacity of 1K words, SRAM Data Memory capacity of 64 bytes, multi-function I/O pins, high speed 12-bit A/D converter, PWM function, internal RC oscillator, power-down and wake-up functions.

This comprehensive range of features together offers a new highly competitive MCU device with superior functions and characteristics. Presently, market attention is strongly focused on devices with excellent price/performance ratios, and in this respect this new Holtek device conforms well.

As is the case with other 8-bit Holtek MCUs, the new device has high noise immunity as well as Watchdog and LVR protection features that give excellent immunity against malfunction or erroneous operation. The device is supplied in 16-pin DIP/NSOP package types.
