Holtek announces the release of its new Sub-1GHz RF OOK/FSK Transmitter Flash MCU, the BC66F2143. This new device, which can operate in the license-free ISM bands...

These new 32-bit Flash devices, include features such as a high operating speed of up to 72MHz (90 DMIPS), a single power supply with an operating voltage range of 2.7V~3.6V and an industrial temperature range of -40°C~85°C.

With Holtek’s integrated In-System and In-Application Programming functions, users will find the implementation of software upgrades an easy and quick process, thus enhancing the efficiency and flexibility of the products.

These new devices contain 128/256K bytes of Flash Program Memory and 32K bytes of SRAM Data Memory together with a newly designed 8-channel PDMA for higher efficiency applications. Additionally the devices have new features, including an EBI (External Bus Interface) high-speed interface, a multi-functional audio interface, I2S and a CRC16/32 data checking mechanism.

The EBI high speed interface, which has a transmission speed of up to 30 MB/sec., can connect with external devices such as TFT-LCDs, NOR Flash and SRAM memories to improve the system expansion abilities.

The I2S interface can provide a Master and Slave, Stereo and Mono as well as other different audio modes. The CRC16/32 provides a data checking mechanism, which makes the devices very suitable for applications with higher safety level requirements.

The integrated Timer Modules can implement functions such as Timer/Counter, Capture, Compare, Single Pulse Output, PWM modes and also provide QEI, Hall Sensor interface features and special complementary PWM outputs. Together with a 16-channel 12-bit 1Msps high speed A/D converter, these new devices can meet the requirements of three-phase motor control applications.

The devices provide multiple power saving management modes, power-on reset, multi-level low voltage detection, brownout detection etc. In addition to an external crystal oscillator, the devices also contain highly accurate internal RC oscillators that provide both 8MHz and 32KHz frequency clock sources. An internal clock monitor function is used to automatically switch to the internal oscillator when an invalid external crystal oscillator situation arises.
