These systems support Intel’s latest Xeon E5-2600/1600 v3 (Haswell-EP) CPUs plus the next generation DDR4 memory modules for providing superior performance and efficiency.

Both motherboards come with dual CPU sockets and 16x DDR4 DIMM slots, offering all the standard features for running professional server applications.

In addition to its 10x SATA3 6Gb/s ports by Intel C612, they also have two more SATA3 6Gb/s ports that can create RAID 0/1, which are powered by a Marvell 9172 chip.

For customers who want a clean system with lots of drives installed to the main storage bays, the server board EP2C612D16FM is specifically designed to fit into these kind of cases, it is also tailored for ASRock Rack’s 3U8G-C612 barebone. The four edge connectors on the side of the motherboard may be connected with system switch boards to support up to 8 GPGPU/MIC cards.

Considering dynamics of the thermal airflow, ASRock Rack designed these server boards with CPU sockets located where they are able to receive air flow equally without disturbing the efficiency of the CPUs. Moreover, there’s an added LSI 3008 controller (optional) for providing 8 SAS3 12Gb/s through a mini SAS HD connector, and two onboard 10G Base-T LAN ports (optional). On the side, the rear i/o and PCIe x16 slots are redesigned to not only fit into 1U chassis, but also install two full height add-on cards.

Besides the 6 PCIe 3.0 x8 slots and 10 SATA3 6Gb/s ports by Intel C612, costumers are able to install an ASRock Rack storage mezzanine card (M2208/M8076) to the onboard mezzanine slot for more SAS3 12Gb/s storage options.

Compact ATX sized motherboards with an abundance of storage ports, including 10 SATA3 6Gb/s ports by Intel C612 and 8 SAS3 12Gb/s ports supported by an LSI 3008 chip. What’s even more amazing is ASRock Rack has also managed to cram 2 PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot onto the motherboard.

Propriety half width designed server boards with dual CPU sockets, 16 DDR4 DIMM slots, plus a mezzanine slot for upgrading to two 10G-Base-T or fiber Ethernet. These special shaped boards are designed so that two of them may fit nicely in a 1U chassis, while four can compose a 2U high density server.

ATX sized all-rounder motherboards with a single CPU socket, 8 DDR4 DIMM slots, and an onboard M.2 socket that supports M.2 SATA SSD cards up to 6Gb/s or M.2 PCIe SSD cards up to 10Gb/s. Furthermore, EPC612D8A-TB also supports Thunderbolt technology with its mini DisplayPort located at its rear i/o.
