Holtek announces the release of its new I/O Type OTP MCU, the HT48R004. One of the special features of the device is its internal LED driver which in not requiring external current limiting resistors, has a much reduced external component requirement. The device is especially suitable for use in applications such as small household appliances.

Some of the special characteristics of the device can be seen in its industrial quality specification (-40~85°C), operating voltage range of 2.3V~5.5V, OTP Program Memory capacity of 2K words, SRAM Data Memory capacity of 64 bytes, internal I2C interface, multi-function I/O pins, internal high accuracy RC oscillator as well as power-down and wake-up functions.
