The BS81xA-x series devices have features such as excellent immunity against power supply variations and a short touch switch response time, thus allowing them to be excellent touch switch solutions for various AC power product applications. Additionally, the low average current characteristic of the series also makes them excellent for use in battery powered products.

The BS812A-1 provides two touch keys and has two corresponding output pins. With a minimum number of external components, this device can implement two touch key functions. With its 6-pin SOT23 package type having an extremely small outline, it is suitable for those application areas where space is at a premium.

The BS8112A-3 and BS8116A-3 respectively provide twelve and sixteen touch key functions. Both devices include an I2C interface which is used to transfer their key status to a host MCU. The host MCU also sends instructions over the I2C interface to instruct the devices to enter their power-saving mode and for sensitivity adjustment. A single power supply decoupling capacitor is the only external component required to implement the touch switch functions. They devices are supplied in 16-pin NSOP and 20-pin SOP/SSOP package types.
