It can adjust the vibration sensitivity by adjusting the internal OPA gain or setting the DAC comparator threshold value, and can also program the output signal timing of its detected state according to different product requirements. The device is suitable for applications which require vibration signal detections such as car alarms, motorcycle alarms, door alarms and other security products as well as induction cookers or electric pots and other home appliances.

The HT45F56 meets with full industrial specification operating temperature requirements of -40°C~85°C as well as possessing excellent noise immunity characteristics. Regarding its analog capabilities, the internal OPA has a 15-level gain in a range of 1~1000, whose input is supplied on a sensing pin.

An internal comparator is used to compare two analog voltages, which are both selected from a range of sources, one of which is an internal DAC. After the small analog signal from the detection sensor is processed by the MCU, it will be output through a GPIO.

Because the device has a high level of functional integration, its internal OPA, CMP and DAC, reduces greatly the number of required external components that would normally be required for relevant vibration detect applications, offering savings in terms of product size and overall component costs.

Holtek supplies a full suite of hardware and software development tools, known as the HT-IDE3000. This development system includes real time emulation with its HT45V56 OCDS chip and e-Link. Full trace analysis functions, breakpoint functions etc. are all available from the system.

With Holtek’s provided parameter platform to assist with parameter setting and adjustment for product applications, developers are assured of having their designs for vibration detection products up and running in as short a time as possible. The device is supplied in an 8-pin SOP package type.
