Google to Expand Hundred Jobs in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Chien Lee-Feng, general manager of Google Taiwan, announced Tuesday , Google will recruit at least one hundred employees in Taiwan this year, which is the largest Recruiting ever in Taiwan , is also the largest one of oversea.

Chien said that integration of hardware and software technology has been the mainstream, Taiwan will play an important hub for this trend. Most of Taiwan’s internet and software engineers have hardware capabilities, which is very rare ability even in Silicon Valley.

Google employees had about a hundred people in Taiwan last year. For the growth of digital marketing services , the completion of the data center in Taiwan , digital business continued to grow, strengthen the development of Taiwan's Chrome OS business, demand for talent is more intense than last year.

Chien said, the high demand of talents in this year reflect local digital advertising and digital marketing increases, and will strengthen the development of Chrome OS this year. The Taiwan Google Chrome team is the core team outside the U.S., push talent demand surge.

He said that the levy was including engineering, R & D, business, partnership, network operations management et cetera.

Google has set up offices in Taiwan in 2006, Chien was the first employee of Google Taiwan. He said he has work for google for eight years and last year was the happiest period. Because of Strengthening cooperation with Chrome and Android ecosystem partners in Taiwan, included investment in IC company Himax Display, expanded Taiwan's data center, show Taiwan's industrial strengths and Google has the best combination.
