BenQ AB DentCare to Provide 3D Printing implant Services in Asia

TAIPEI, Taiwan - BenQ Medical announced on Wednesday the cooperation with AB Dental Devices, an Israel medical supplies, to found BenQ AB DentCare Corporation and launched 3D implant integration services in Taiwan and Asian market.

BenQ Group established BenQ Hospital in 2008, then founded BenQ Medical by acquired Trident Medical in 2010, and merged the LILY Medical Corporation last year. Currently BenQ Group has launched ultrasonic medical products, bring more sales in the medical market.

BenQ Medical chairman Chen Gi-Hong said ,the specialty of AB Dental Devices is artificial implants which can integrate with BenQ 's 3D preoperative planning system , 3D printed surgical guides and electronic integration services, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of preoperative implant planning to doctors, also can reduce pain and accelerate wound healing in patients recover.

Chen pointed out that BenQ AB DentCare has ability of software development can provide total solutions, although the 3D printers currently used were purchased from other companies, but BenQ AB DentCare has started to develop own 3D printing technology to provide a higher price, faster speed 3D printer, has begun the development of polymer materials and printing techniques, the production will be conducted in one or two years later.

This product is currently approved for sale in Taiwan and Vietnam, as well as China's Jiangsu Province. Other overseas markets will start from Southeast Asia and Japan, will expand in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and other markets, expected to be completed within two years.

Chen said that BenQ Medical will continue to expand the market with acquisition or investment, smaller investments will be leaded by BenQ Medical; larger scale investments will be executed by Qisda.
