Aaeon’s New IoT Gateway for Smart Application Network

At this year’s COMPUTEX 2014, industrial computer company Aaeon presented a complete series of products. Most noteworthy among them, was their newest IoT product line, which provides outstanding extensibility and connectivity. With simplicity and speed, an IoT smart application network can be set up for home or business use.

Aaeon’s IOT product line primarily consists of the AIOT-X1000gateway, and it can be connected to all types of smart devices, including smart electric grids and all types of sensor devices and security monitoring devices. It can be quickly set up as an effective smart internet of things for factories. In addition, the AIOT-X1000 features a small volume and small power consumption, and it uses an Intel Quark processor, which makes it a suitable product for industrial use.
Aaeon marketing planning manager, Patty Wu stated that the AIOT-X1000 is a product made in collaboration between Aaeon and ASUS that integrates ASUS cloud technology with Digi ZigBee communications technology. It currently uses a Linux operating system, but a Windows product series will be launched in the future.
In addition, Aaeon also presented an industrial computer product, which is in great demand – a series of embedded motherboards and modules with Intel and AMD processors. The product presentation included the NVR network surveillance series, the RTC series of robust tablet computers, and a high-capacity storage server that uses an industrial-grade embedded controller. A solution for railway communications and transport and smart buses was also presented.
