According to Singapore media, MediaTek has invested NT$4.3 billion in Singapore, now announced will invest NT$6 billion more to expand the size of R&D center, and to develop high speed CPU and GPU, which will be the biggesst IC design center in Singapore.

Moreover, MediaTek will unveil its 4G octa-core chipset MT6595 in Shenzhen on July 15th. Source said that it will be put into mass production on this August. China and Taiwan are stepping into the era of 4G service, it is believed that MT6595 will be the growth driver on Q4 for MediaTek.
