MediaTek's 4G Solutions are Adopted by Major Handset Makers

TAIPEI, Taiwan — MediaTek's 4G chipset solutions are adopted by major handset makers, including Smart 4 Power 4G, Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Acer. The coming 5.7-inch new smartphone Liquid X1 from Acer also will be powered by MediaTek's 4G chipset solutions.

Using MediaTek's 4G solutions means saving a lot of cost, reducing the handset's price. For example, Xiaomi's Redmi 1S is powered by MediaTek's 4G quad-core data chip solutions MT6582 and MT6290, and only sells NT$3,940 dollars.

Moreover, Acer's coming new smartphone Liquid X1 is powered by MediaTek's 4G octa-core data chip solution, which can be paired with PC in synchronous operation, its price tag is NT$7,990 dollars.

MediaTek lately annouced its hotknot technology video on its China official website, by using IC, G sensor, and P sensor, simply to touch the touch panel can exchange business cards, photos, videos, and documents. There's no need to be paired with other hardware or chipset, the cost is lower than NFC.
