Intel Demonstrates the Charging Bowl at Taipei

TAIPEI, Taiwan — At the Intel Asia Innovation Summit, Intel showcases three research findings, one of which is a new low-energy prototype memory array alongside Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Moreover, the company demonstrated the Intel Charging Bowl at the summit.

The other two research findings are a software prototype in cooperation with ASUS that can achieve 2.5 times the input and output performances of conventional cloud storage servers, and the open source of Internet of Things (IoT) development tool in cooperation with National Taiwan University.

Relatively, the new low-energy prototype memory array could boost device battery life. A wearable device entitled MICA was a highlight that is the company collaboration with fashion brand Opening Ceremony.

Furthermore, MICA has an anticipated battery life of two days, can be recharged wirelessly with the Intel Charging Bowl announced earlier this year.
