TAIPEI, Taiwan — The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is the latest home video game console from Sony, which sold out 1.2 million units in the US on the Black Friday. Foxconn, Delta Electronics, Foxlink, and Jentech are major Taiwanese influences behind PS4 that also taken it as their driving force.

“If I look at Europe I think it is potentially, for the second year running, going to be quite inventory challenged,” Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House said in a statement.

However, he did not give specific numbers, and stated the company was doing its best to bolster production and logistics to deal with the strong demand.

The PS4 has many key component providers from Taiwan, including OEM partners from Foxconn and Pegatron, power supplies from Delta Electronics, connectors from Cheng Uei Precision, while Foxconn Technology, Unimicron, and Jentech provide case, PCB, thermal heat spreader, respectively.

According to report from VGChartz, PlayStation 4 sold a whooping 15 million units worldwide as on November 22, 2014.
