Chobby Lai says Renishaw applies 3D printing in tooling during a year-end lunch with media
TAIPEI, Taiwan — Renishaw, a global engineering technologies company, its Taiwan subsidiary held a year-end lunch for media introducing the company's strength and goals in 2015. General Manager Chobby Lai said that the company currently focused on applying its 3D printing technology in tooling, dies, and molds, especially manufacturing airplane's interior equipments.
The company's Managing Director of Hong Kong, Jean-Marc Meffre and Taiwan subsidiary General Manager Chobby Lai hosted the event, both gave a presentation respectively. As 3D printing is one of the next big things in 2015, Chobby Lai stated out that the company mainly focused on applying its 3D printing technology in tooling, dies, and molds, especially manufacturing airplane's interior equipments, in other words, only for industrial use.
Meanwhile, Renishaw and DENTSPLY Implants, one of the world's leading companies in implant dentistry, announced an agreement which will see DENTSPLY Implants purchase Renishaw additive manufacturing technology for the manufacture of dental products and Renishaw cease development of its Laserbridge implant-supported frameworks.
