Holtek Eyes on Security, Industrial Control and Medical Applications

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Consumer ICs, MCUs provider Holtek today held investor conference, announced fourth quarter and full year earnings. Holtek revenue last year came to NT$ 3.931 billion, a slight increase of 0.93%; net profit after tax of NT$ 792 million, increased 6.8%, hit a new high over the past decade, annual EPS was NT$ 3.5.

Holtek’s MCU proportion of revenues last year was 70%, other peripheral IC accounted for 30%. In terms of sales area, Hong Kong and Mainland China accounted for 68% of revenue, Taiwan accounting for 14%, other oversea regin accounted for 18%. Holtek’s MCU shipments last year was about 466 million units, the annual increase of about 8%.
Outlook this year, Holtek pointed that the goal of this year is to growth stability, and push shipments of Flash MCU, touch MCUs in the United States and other overseas markets. The main growth momentum this year will come from three scopes of security, industrial control and health care.
