Intel Shows Its Gaming Strength at Taipei Game Show

TAIPEI, Taiwan - 2015 Taipei Game Show is being held in the Taipei International Convention Center form January 28th to Feburary 1th. Intel is the largest exhibitor this year, exhibited numerous gaming computers equipped its CPU product for visitors to experience, also held an international online game competition, attracting a large number of Taiwanese and international players .

Gaming industry is rising rapidly in recent years, the industry, not only led to a lot of merchandise, but also to turn the gaming PC into the only bright spot in the PC market.

Tung, Tzu-Hsien, chairman of Taiwan Computer Association(TCA), said on the opening ceremony that the martket scale of game industry is the same as Notebook (about US$88.4 billion). Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC also announced on Tuesday that it will sponsor eSports team and looking forward to the eSport to enter the mobile phone platform.

The rise of the gaming market direct benefits the Intel. Because of PC gaming requires very high performance, and that means CPU and graphics card will play a big role of this market, which allows Intel to have a good entry point of gaming.

For seizing this market, Intel launched a series of high-performance processors for the gaming PC, accelerated the development of high-performance chipset and SSD storage solution, paced the company visibility in the gaming market to climb, and pulled its PC revenue (growth of 6% in 2014).

In addition, Intel sponsored a large number of global gaming competition, the Intel Extreme Master has become an international icon of eSport.
