Hon Hai Is Moving Toward Industry 4.0

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Hon Hai on Thursday, the fifth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, held a traditional Chinese resume business operations ceremony in Tucheng headquarters, Taiwan. chairman Terry Gou personally presided, stressed that Hon Hai will accelerate the development of automation, to replace 70% of manpowers with robotics in three years.

Gou said that Hon Hai is going to use robotic automation for substituting manpowers of 70%, which primarily via the Internet and cloud technology, coupled with collaborative operations of robotics, overall production line to be more controllable and manageable.

Gou pointed that the project will take about three years to complete and turn into manufacturing efficiency.

The millions of employees of Hon Hai will gradually training, command the robotic workflow. Thus employees will have more time to design software, these R&D investments are the foundation of Hon Hai to transform and growth for the future.

You said Hon Hai is preparing for the "Industry 4.0", will focus on the development of the cloud computing, mobile terminal, IoT, big data, smart life, smart industrial network and robotics.
