Industry Experts Give Recycling Business Insight in India and the Middle East

For the upcoming World Recycling Convention & Exhibition in Dubai, the BIR Non- Ferrous Metals Division under the interim presidency of David Chiao (Uni-All Group Ltd, USA) offers a programme that puts emphasis on business in the Middle East and India, with guest speakers from both regions giving an expert insight into their respective markets.

At the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 19 May 2015 at 15.00, the following industry experts will address the audience:

The first speaker is Mr Mohan Agarwal, Managing Director of Century Metal Recycling Pvt Ltd (CMR), the largest manufacturer of aluminium alloys and zinc alloys in India. Their current production amounts to over 150,000 MT per annum from 7 plants, two of which are in joint venture with two large Japanese companies.

CMR has been leading the evolution of aluminium recycling in India with many technological initiatives. Mr Agarwal will be speaking on “The Indian Automotive and Secondary Aluminium Industry - growth in perspective and the road ahead”.

The second speaker will shed some light on business in the Middle East. Mr Nasser Aboura is Managing Partner of Aboura Metals, a Dubai-based recycling company international scrap metals industry with a focus on recycling and trading in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. Apart from their headquarters in Dubai, the company owns subsidiaries in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

A subsequent discussion will be open to questions from the audience and allow a lively exchange regarding business opportunities in India and the Middle East.
