In 1997, when Kevin worked for P&G as a Manager, a best-selling lipstick was always sold out on the shelf, but it had a large amount in stock. As a result, Kevin came up with a thought like “why don’t we apply the credit cards’ microchip on the goods”. That’s the very original concept of IoT.

Kevin predicted that there are three unmistakable trends of IoT: how to tackle down the machine learning, the emerging new startups and no such a winner-take-all situation. However, the later two are easily understood, what does the machine learning mean?

Kevin explained that there are different kinds of chips designed for collecting data, but the chips itself can’t analyze data and to turn it into information or even policies.

Kevin has a bright prospect on Tesla Motors, saying that it developed that driverless technology that is going to change our life, which isn’t not only a concept but a real product.
