Innolux: We are Ready for the Latest Panel Technologies

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Innolux Co. demonstrated its latest product lines such as 4K HCG curved TV, wearables, X-Ray medicare Tablet, TOD and TID embedded touch panel Tablet, etc. Guo Zheng-xia, Assistant General Manager of Innolux, stated that in terms of the state-of-the-art panel technologies like curved, touch, HCG and IGZO, “We are ready.”

Guo Zheng-xia said that 4K HCG 50-inch panel will become the dominant standard for high definition display technology in the market, and in response to the cheaper W-RGB panel, “Innolux launched the ‘4K goes to village’ campaign that succeed to make wave of replacement. Besides, 4K HCG panel was released at the third quarter of 2014 and successfully penetrated into the high-end market.”

Statistics show that currently 10 percent of global households have 4K TV and 34 percent of which use 50-inch ones. Guo Zheng-xia pointed out that the company aims at promoting 4K HCG 50-inch panel to be the standard in the market.

Duan Xing-jian, Chairman of Innolux said that the company’s exclusive TOD technology has replaced traditional sensor and cover lense combined on-cell technology, which has been applied into smartphone, Tablet panel production since 2013. Furthermore, the company planned to apply TOD into NB panel. For example, the 15.6-inch TOD NB panel is planned to have high-volume production in July.

Last but not least, echoing with rumors about mergers and acquisitions with AUO Co., Duan Xing-jian considered that the two companies occupied 30 percent of global market share, “It’s hard to do so.”
