Foxconn: No Competitors in Mobile and Tablet Manufacturing

TAIPEI, Taiwan - According to Taiwan's Central News Agency reported, Foxconn/ Hon Hai chairman Terry Gou said in the shareholders meeting that there are no competitors in the world who can compete Foxconn in the mobile phone and tablet manufacturing. Foxconn is entering a transition period now, will develop a lot of new business, and optimistic about the future.

Gou said Foxconn dominate the global manufacture of mobile phones and tablet, almost no rival can compete. Competitors only can grab some by lower price-offering, or it is difficult to compete in other ways.
On the future development of Foxconn, Guo pointed out that the China Manufacturing 2025 and Industry 4.0 are both big opportunities which perfect match Foxconn’s ability, will further enhance the business of Foxconn. In addition, Foxconn will actively develop the business of Internet of Things, cloud computing, robotics, and connected vehicles.
Foxconn is currently developing cloud storage business in Europe, has build number of the data center, will increase service projects and provide financial services of supply chain, provide total service. But Guo stressed that although Foxconn has branched into e-commerce, but will not give up manufacturing business, and will keep improving the efficiency and reduce inventory by cloud computing technology.
In terms of Industry 4.0, Guo pointed out, both of IoT and IoV industry need a lot of mold automation, coupled with smart automatically cloud applications, are all in the range of Foxconn’s target.
Guo said that these couple years is critical to Foxconn’s transition. This year Foxconn is the world's largest company of mobile phones manufacturing in quantity, Tablet PCs and desktop computers are also.
In addition, Guo once again stressed that this year will be the beginning of Foxconn to enter the India market, and to meet the Indian Prime Minister's policy of "Made in India" and "Clean India".
