According to Economic Daily News, Chaney Ho, president of Advantech, said that important countries around the world, in places such as Europe, and the United States, and China are all planning bring manufacturing back to their own countries in order to stimulate the economy and increase employment opportunities. Consequently, the goals of creating high added value and increasing employment have become national strategies.
Chaney Ho also stated that Europe is actively promoting Industry 4.0 because they want to bring manufacturing back to their own countries. Therefore, investing in Industry 4.0 frameworks, such as robotics and automatic guided vehicles as well as cloud and big data have become the core of major European countries' development.
The same is true of the United States, which is also planning on moving manufacturing back home. For nearly four years, the United States has experienced strong economic development, which has been related to this strategy.
As for China, Chaney Ho believes that its “Made in China 2025” plan is designed to counteract Europe and the United States. As wages continue to rise in China, earnings will be an important factor in the future. Therefore, China is actively transforming itself from a major manufacturing country into a manufacturing powerhouse.
