Acer’s Chrombook Booming in Educational Market

TAIPEI, Taiwan - According to Economic Daily, Acer’s Chrombook is leading the market continuously, especially the booming educational market. This year, the shipment of Acer’s Chrombook in Taiwan will be more than 10,000 units, which is five times than last year.

Acer’s Chromebook climbs at slower pace in the business market than educational market. At present, Acer won its first order, amount to 3,000, from Taiwan’s government and another order, expected to delivery during summer vacation, will be signed in August. That will help Taiwan’s government to realize the concept of “Flipped Classroom Project” in September.

Last November Acer released Chromebook in Taiwan and then strived to promote it to the global market, covering 30 countries until now. Out of expectation, Chromebook has great success in Taiwan’s educational market. Besides that, it also grew steadily in European and American school.

Acer said that the process of educational application is just in the beginning which still has much to make progress. And compare to other competitor, they has enough experiences of promoting Chromebook and aftermarket service.
