The launch of .TAIPEI is divided into several phases. Until July 31 (landrush phase 1) domain names with multiple applications will result in an auction unless there is a single applicant. Afterwards, the registration policy until the end of August is "first-come, first-serve", meaning whoever registers the name first will be able to use it. The minimum for registration during Landrush for a .TAIPEI domain name is 3 years. Popular Taipei City services can already be reached under the new names, such as http://metro.taipei/ and http://taipei101.taipei/ .
