“2015 Touch Taiwan” Jumps into a Technical Competition between AUO and INX

AUO exceeded current technological specifications for LCD TVs to integrate UHD 4K ultra high resolution
TAIPEI, Taiwan — The “2015 Touch Taiwan” opened to the public on August 26, jumped directly into a technical competition between AU Optronics (AUO) and Innolux Co. (INX) The two companies have been popularly known as the “two tigers of the panel industry”, both demonstrated a wide range of applications in ultra high definition television (UHDTV), medical use, car display and mobile PC display, etc.

Paul Peng, Chairperson of AUO pointed out that “AUO exceeded current technological specifications for LCD TVs to integrate UHD 4K ultra high resolution, curved design, quantum dot wide color gamut, and HDR (High Dynamic Range) technologies to create the ALCD technology, delivering image quality comparable to that of AMOLED displays.”
Paul Peng stated that the company exhibited a complete series of 55, 65 and 85-inch ALCD TV display. The 4000R golden curvature mimics the curvature of the human eye to create an exceptionally immersive viewing experience with its free viewing angle. “The next-generation quantum dot wide color gamut technology is adopted, and the design of the panels has been adjusted in accordance with the properties of quantum dots to perform its best in colors, with the color saturation exceeding NTSC 100 percent.”
Meanwhile, Assistant Vice President of INX, Eddie Kuo, said that 8K4K (7680x4320) is the highest TV resolution in the world today, the company has once again increased its product resolution to create more refined picture quality and realistic colors, and greatly smoothing out dynamic igames for high-fidelity picture image, thus allowing end-users to enjoy the stunning picture quality and vivid and realistic images of mega-size 8K TV.
Furthermore, Eddie Kuo suggested that 2016 will be the first year of 8K era. “We will put 8K panels into mass production in 2016. However, in an attempt to meet the demand of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we will launch affordable 8K panels.”
Unique in the industry is the 31.5-inch 4K2K monitor panel showcased at the exhibition. Boosted by 4K2K technology, the ultra-high-resolution, high-color-saturation high-end panel improves color vividness and imgae definition, taking professional graphics and gaming experience to a higher level, according to INX.
2015 Touch Taiwan will be held at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall on August 26 to 28, free entrance for all domestic and foreign buyers with invitation cards or those who offer business cards.
