Blizzard’s Taiwan Data Center Has Been in Operation

TAIPEI, Taiwan - According to a Taiwan Economic Daily News report, the renowned gaming company Blizzard Entertainment said that the its data center in Taiwan has been fully operational and the upcoming establishment of the Blizzard Customer Service Center.

Blizzard Entertainment is currently the world's most watched gaming company, and its yearly event “Blizzcon” has become a major event in the gaming industry. This year,"2015 Blizzcon" held in Los Angeles, attracted a total of tens of thousands of players.

Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau General Director Meng Qing-liang stated that Blizzard Entertainment has already spent over NT$100 million on the Blizzard Taiwan data center and hopes that in the future it will enable Blizzard Entertainment to have more stable operations.

Regarding the Blizzzard’s customer service center, Meng Qing-liang stated that its main tasks will include assisting gamers in solving problems and eliminating hindrances. The Taiwan Blizzard Customer Service Center’s hardware facilities and customer service staff training both follow the standards at Blizzard’s global customer service centers, and they are striving to bring Taiwan’s customer service operations in line with global standards.

He also pointed out that Blizzard Entertainment sees great value in the Taiwan region, and establishing the data center and customer service center will enable them to stabilize their gaming operations in Taiwan.
