According to Chinese media, InFocus company, a subsidiary of Foxconn, will take charge of the end-used equipment for the naked-eye 3D market. InFocus had released in early June its first M550 3D smartphone, adopting Super D’s naked-eye 3D technology, which is manufactured by Foxconn.
In addition, InFocus collaborates with Super D to obtain authorization by DreamWork animation, allowing for watching 3D animation movies online or download on M550 3D through APP.
Foxconn said that the naked-eye technology will be commercialized extensively in not only smartphone but in tablet for the coming year. Making efforts jointly by manufacturers and content providers, naked-eye 3D technology is likely to be the new standard equipment on smartphone.
CND Film said that they have 3D film production team and abundant resources. The cooperation with Foxconn could enable a firm foundation for the popularity of naked-eye 3D smartphone.
