Renesas Electronics to Terminate Production at Subsidiary in Singapore

On March 20, 2014, Renesas Electronics announced its plan to transfer part of the manufacturing facility at Renesas Semiconductor Singapore to J-Devices Corporation (“J-Devices”) in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016. The transfer had been completed through two processes that took place on August 3 and November 2, 2015.
Renesas Electronics also announced on March 20, 2014 that it began negotiations with the local labor union based on its policy to terminate production operation of Renesas Semiconductor Singapore in the second half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016. Following the completion of negotiations with the labor union and the completion of transfer of manufacturing facility, Renesas Electronics has decided to terminate production operation at Renesas Semiconductor Singapore on December 31, 2015.
The products in production at Renesas Semiconductor Singapore will be relocated to J-Devices and Renesas Electronics' back-end manufacturing sites. Renesas Electronics intends to continue to deliver the same products with the same quality and performance to the customers.
