There was also new camera offerings from Nikon, as well as VR from GoPro, but there were also a slew of new companies looking to give consumers the ability to broadcast their life and share more. Nevertheless, autonomous cars are big at the annual event.

For example, 360-streaming VR is going to impact Facebook, Meercat, Periscope and YouTube as a growing cavalcade of streamers come online. Not along ago, cars were an afterthought at CES.

However, in this year, the automotive sector was everywhere—from the so-called autonomous cars and auto-sensing technology to the growing in-car entertainment gear.

For instance, General Motors and Lyft announced a long-term strategic alliance to create an integrated network of on-demand autonomous vehicles in the U.S, while Robot Taxi planned to make its first commercial debut in 2020.
