Benefiting from large-sized panels with lower prices, digital signage manufacturers are increasingly moving in the direction of larger dimensions in order to provide consumers with more eye-catching visual effects and diverse services. David Liu, General Manager of TCI, pointed out that with this trend, large sizes coupled with the effect of interactive content brought about by touch functionality are a new and bright blue sea for the digital signage industry.

“TCI is equipped with the foundations of its parent company, Twinwill Optronics Inc. (TOI), and combined with the strong advantages of their own software and hardware integration” said Liu, “TCI has already highly increased the competitiveness of their products through the successful use of Metal Mesh, which has lower cost, lower resistance, and higher sensitivity than ITO, for TCI’s large-sized 55”-84” capacitive touch panel.”

TCI's 4K high-resolution large-sized panels with ten-finger touch function both allows for clearer images and for more diverse interactive uses. It also expands the space for more possibilities of content design and more suitable applications for the retail, food and beverage, education, business, entertainment, and transportation industries.

In addition, products with specialized functionality and specifications were the highlights of TCI's exhibition. Having abundant experiences with solutions for industrial and military, TCI showcased a 21.5-inch capacitive touch panel with water resistive that still perfectly provides accurate touch functions in actual situations of operating in water. It is capable of effectively preventing interference with touch from rainwater and is very suitable for use of outdoor digital signage; Due to its unique shape, the long bar 27.6-inch LCD is also very suitable for use in vending machines and transportation vehicles.

Liu stated that after the development over a year, TCI has steadily rooted their foundations. Although the overall environment in the touch panel industry is still in the doldrums, TCI has gradually matured in new materials and technologies and is confident about flying against the wind currents and expanding into new application domains.

He also pointed out that this year's DSE exhibition was TCI's first stop in receiving the results of their achievements, and in May TCI will participate in the Display Week exhibition in San Francisco, U.S.A. (booth number 1337). Stay tuned.
